Go Eat
With all the walking up and down hills, there are always plenty of places to stop off for a coffee and a little something to eat. There are thousands of cafés, bars and restaurants in Lisbon. Even if you find yourself off the beaten track there will be a café within two minutes.
The best food is the simplest food, especially for the first visit and you will find a decent grilled steak or fish in many places. If you read “Típico” in a restaurant’s name, it means it is Portuguese food. Lunch is more important than anything to most Portuguese people, so get eating lunch just before 1pm or heading towards 3pm if you want to eat in the more popular places.
If you want a taste of what the Portuguese really love, go to

Most non-Portuguese food isn’t as good as you’ll find elsewhere, apart from some notable exceptions,
Flor da Laranja, Moroccan

and
Aya, Japanese
